The figure, rendered in black paint, represents both Michael Stewart and the enormity of the history of violence against black bodies; it could have been any black man in the wrong place, at the wrong time, in America.

Read-stay informed, put it in your feed & expose yourself to other perspectives-follow BIPOC on social media, donate to anti white-supremacy work & to the black people you are learning from (ie. the ones compiling these resources below), self reflect on personal biases, recognize your privilege whether it be your skin color, gender, or socioeconomic status, stand-up & say something when you encounter racist language & behavior, and share info & education to other white folks who might not be exposed.
