where i reconnected
One of the biggest reasons I stayed around in Europe for so long was so I could visit one of my best friends, Anna at her home in Germany. We met 2 years ago on the Camino Frances and I had not seen her since parting ways in Fisterra. ..She welcomed me into her home and over the next few days got me addicted to pretzels and Radler. We went swimming in her favorite lake, hiking in the pre Alps, and biking to a nearby town. And we enjoyed watching the world cup final game together. I loved getting to see her hometown and eat all the Bavarian foods. I hope we don’t go another 2 years without seeing each other.
