Ocean Drive, Homer, Alaska
Happy May! This month has been busy so far and will get even busier with the bears waking up and the start of our season. We've been working on the new expanded office and planning for the 11th annual Duck & Dessert Party. I also co-presented on International Marketing at Cooper Landing's Chamber of Commerce & Visitor's Bureau. My goal of late has been to go out in town and mingle with local business owners to get my name out there as well as Hallo Bay's
For the past 11 years, Hallo Bay Bear Camp has hosted a Duck & Dessert party to kickoff the Shorebird Festival here in town. The party is a big deal and we worked hard to set up the office for the party. Simyra and I baked desserts to capacity. We provided local wine, mead, and beer from various businesses in Homer. Also, Marian Call honored us by performing during the party.
