Homer: The End of the Road
Time is flying by up here! I'm working all day, everyday, but having a good time!
Homer's had a nice weather streak and I'm trying to take advantage of the blue skies and lightness till midnight. Plus it's been kinda warm (60's here is warm). Whenever I bike or run down the spit, I'm reminded how lucky I am to live here, in this beautiful magical place.
I recently biked down the Homer Spit while using a GoPro camera to film the trip. It took 20 minutes to bike down, but I edited and sped it up to 2 minutes. Check out the video here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUEtlk-SMMg . For some reason the quality of the video lowered after downloading it to youtube. It was much clearer before.
I have also been trying to get out and try all the restaurants in town. There's so much good food here, especially for vegetarians.
This time of year, I'm seeing lots of wildlife in town as well. I love driving around town and seeing the moose by the roads munching on some grass or the eagles sitting on the rocks by the water.
